ABOUT SIMON
Date of birth: 28 May 1972. Simon Jackson - Judo Paralympics
Interests: Water ski-ing, going to the gym, playing the piano and drums, and listening to Bon Jovi.
Perfect evening out: Going for a meal with my brother and our girlfriends.
Favourite way to relax: Playing the piano.
Biggest high: Winning the final of the '92 Barcelona Paralympics in just five seconds - and beating the local favourite in the process. I won in Seoul in 1988 but I think everyone thought it was a bit of a fluke, so it was nice to prove them wrong.

Biggest low: Losing the semi-final in Sydney, my first defeat in 159 fights.

Hero: Pete Sampras.
Most embarrassing disability moment: Every time I go out with my brother he always thinks it's funny to send me into the women's toilets.
Best blag: Getting air stewardesses to help me put my seat belt on.
What would you be if you weren't an athlete? Centre-forward for Liverpool
