| Joe fought first in the Open Grade category; this was for the more experienced players and they can fight any grade at any weight! He was extremely calm and ready to fight… making it look so easy, and beating all of his three opponents by a 10 point score using some impressive judo skills. Joe came away with the gold medal and another Oulder Hill player crowned the Greater Manchester County Champion! |
Last to fight was Sarah Jackson and the pressure was on as all her fellow club members had won gold!
Fighting players much more experienced then herself, Sarah felt extremely nervous and slightly out of her depth! |
But in true Oulder Hill style, Sarah overcome her nerves and reservations and beat all three of her opponents, two with a straight 10 point score and her last fight went to golden score with Sarah giving it her all, beating her opponent with a three point score… winning gold. |
| Simon Jackson was so proud and cannot wait for the next competition! He and the winners will share their success at their club which train each Tuesday evening at Oulder Hill Community High School. |
